This can be done both internally – in the attic – and externally on the roof itself. When there is no rain or precipitation, you can look for the leak on the roof by getting up there and physically examining it. However, you can also check for a roof leak from the attic. In the attic, you’ll want to look directly above where the dripping is happening inside your home. Once you get up into the attic, you should be able to identify – directly above the ceiling leak – where the roof leak is.
